Noted pantomimist Julian Chagrin (THE CONCERT) performs his role as a fir tree, which we first meet in a forest. The tree is cut down along with his companions and taken to the market to be sold as Christmas trees. Not a word is spoken, and yet we are acutely aware of every feeling, as the tree is chosen and decorated. Admiring his new finery, he accepts his role and shares the holiday joy of the family.
